About Murucutu
Murucutu is a free, open-access publishing platform for articles that deserve to be read carefully. We host original writing across culture, science, technology, business, and health — contributed by our community and presented with the standards of a professional publication.
There are no paywalls, no algorithmic feeds, and no advertising. Every article is available to read, download, and cite. Registered members can contribute one original article per month, participate in discussions, and build a personal library of bookmarked work.
The name means nothing in particular. The writing means everything.
How it works
Anyone can read every article on Murucutu without an account. Creating a free account lets you contribute articles, leave comments, like pieces you enjoy, and bookmark work you want to return to.
Contributors may submit one original article per calendar month. Submitted articles are published immediately — there is no editorial gatekeeping. The quality of the platform is shaped by the quality of its community.
Each published article includes a permanent URL, a downloadable PDF, and a formatted citation you can copy. Articles are searchable and browsable by topic.
What we publish
Murucutu publishes original, non-fiction writing across five topic areas: Culture & Society, Science & Nature, Technology, Business & Economics, and Health & Wellness. Articles should be original work — not previously published elsewhere — and written with care for the reader.
We do not publish fiction, promotional material, or content that violates our Terms of Service. Beyond that, the range of subject matter is deliberately broad. If it is worth writing carefully, it is worth publishing here.
