Terms of Service

Murucutu is a free, open-access platform for publishing and reading original articles across Culture & Society, Science & Nature, Technology, Business & Economics, and Health & Wellness. The Service is provided at no charge to readers. Contributors may submit one article per calendar month at no cost. Murucutu reserves the right to remove any content at its sole discretion.

To submit articles, leave comments, or engage with content through likes and bookmarks, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not create accounts for others, impersonate any person, or use a username that is offensive, misleading, or violates third-party rights. Accounts are non-transferable.

By submitting an article or comment to Murucutu, you grant Murucutu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform and in promotional materials related to the platform.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit; (b) your content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights; and (c) your content does not violate any applicable law.

You retain ownership of content you create. Murucutu does not claim ownership of your submissions. Nothing in these Terms transfers your intellectual property rights to Murucutu.

You agree not to:

• Post content that is defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive
• Engage in ad hominem attacks against named researchers or scholars
• Submit content that constitutes plagiarism or misrepresents authorship
• Post content that infringes upon patents, trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property
• Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service without prior written consent
• Transmit spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications
• Post content containing malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Attempt to impersonate Murucutu staff or editorial team members

Murucutu exercises editorial discretion over all published content. The editorial team may decline submissions, request revisions, or remove previously published content for reasons including, but not limited to, factual inaccuracy, scholarly inadequacy, policy violation, or legal concern. Editorial decisions are final. Murucutu is not obligated to provide explanations for editorial decisions.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Murucutu does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Murucutu does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any content published on the platform — all articles represent the views of their respective authors.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Murucutu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if Murucutu has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Murucutu's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amounts, if any, paid by you to Murucutu in the six months preceding the claim.

Murucutu reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Content you have published may remain on the platform at Murucutu's discretion.

Murucutu may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via the email address associated with their account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
